This is one of those articles where a picture is worth a thousand words, which is why we concentrated more on preserving the pictures than on translating the article.

We also included two of our pictures of the race track.

Ready - Float - Go! (Auf die Flöße - Fertig - Los! in German) - this is how this enthusiastic article starts.

Beetzsee Race Track is a world famous location that hosted several rowing and kayaking world championships. In 2017, it hosted a raft race.

11th grade students of the local Von Saldern High-school organized a race of self-built floats.

The event was part of a "Management" class and the students did not only have to built their rafts, but organize the entire event from booking over ticketing to catering. A group of 25 students organized the race and 700 visitors obviously had a lot of fun attending it.
