A 12-foot-tall metallic statue of The Mothman, created by artist and sculptor Bob Roach, was unveiled in 2003. No trip to Point Pleasant is complete without visiting the famous Mothman Statue that sits at the center of our Main Street, and is adjacent to the Mothman Museum. People can be seen getting their "selfies" with Mothman all hours of the day and night and he's been visited by people from all over the world. The 12 foot statue is a true work of art, and pays homage to one of the most famous legends in Point Pleasant history.

Located at 400 Main St, Point Pleasant, WV 25550, and born of a local legend that has been featured in Book and Film this legend relates the accounts of John Keel's investigation into confirmed sightings of a large, winged creature called Mothman in the vicinity of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, during 1966 and 1967.
