SOM designed four skyscrapers fronting Louisiana Street between Dallas and Walker Streets. "http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WM1P92">El Paso Energy Building was the first, built in 1963 on the eastern side of the street. The other three buildings are adjacent on the western side of Louisiana – 1100 Louisiana (1980), "http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WMZRA">Wells Fargo Plaza (1983) and "http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WMZR6">One Shell Plaza (1971) – leading some to dub these three blocks ‘Skidrow.’
