Long Description:
Shell Oil’s regional headquarters had been housed in the Houston Post-Dispatch Building until 1971, when the company moved its corporate headquarters to this building in Houston. The building is sheathed in Italian travertine marble, which (intentionally or not) looks like concrete with shell impressions, similar to the Texas Cordova Limestone of Houston City Hall.
