The second-tallest building in Houston (and Texas) at 992 feet, this green glass tower, designed by the firm of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in 1983, easily outdoes the JPMorgan Chase Tower with its two stunning, two-story sky lobbies.

Take the elevator up to the 34th/35th floor sky lobby and ride the escalator up and down for a close-up view of buildings to the north/northeast. Then jump back on the elevators to the 58th/59th floor sky lobby, and once again ride the escalators up and down beneath the huge windows. Another nice feature of this building is the basement-level courtyard, the only place where the downtown tunnel system opens up to the environment above.
