Weatherford is a town of about 12,000 population, 70 miles west of Oklahoma City. It was first settled in 1892 with the opening of the Cheyenne-Arapaho land.

The town is a beautiful, forward-moving community. There are eleven parks in town, covering over 800 acres. Weatherford is the home of Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
