This 28 foot long sculpture is mounted on a circular wall at sidewalk level. It is composed of 2,800 individual pieces formed by many artists. It depicts scenes from the history of the Miami Valley and its people.

This sculpture is adjacent to the Montgomery County Courthouse in Courthouse Square.

28 foot long bronze relief mural cast from 5 x 7 inch ceramic tiles, depicting community and family life

From the Smithsonian AIC Remarks:

The sculpture was conceived by Tess Little and Paula Recko, and was part of a REACH Across Dayton project to involve minority communities. The sculpture was funded in part by Montgomery County and Reynolds and Reynolds.

(On plaque:) 1995-98 - REACH (Realizing Ethnic Awareness and Cultural Heritage) Across Dayton & Miami Valley citizens created this sculpture to celebrate the cultural heritage of all people. Citizens created a work of art in neighborhood churches, community centers, fairs, festivals, senior centers & schools. Every piece of art created was included. The 2800 pieces were assembled by artists and volunteers who contributed thousands of hours composing the individual sculptures into a 48' panoramic bas relief depicting the Miami Valley--its history, its people, its community identity--& cast in bronze. Gifted to the citizens of Miami Valley. Accepted by Montgomery County Commissioners, Charles Curan, Vickie Pegg, & Don Lucas at the dedication
