This is the westernmost of six storefronts occupied by United Furniture Company. It was constructed in 1918.

The building at 317 W. 6th is very similar to those to its east. It is a two-story brick building with two sets of paired wood-framed windows with one-over-one double hung sashes, on the second level. A concrete and brick cornice runs the length of the upper wall, with a concrete coping.
The storefront has been renovated to be three aluminum and glass display windows, as the entrance to this store is located in one of the other buildings. The windows have a flat metal canopy over them, which is supported by tie-rods. The clerestories have been covered with wood paneling.
