This is a very interesting house with some nice detail with a little Victorian touch. It contributes nicely to the area and of course, it has a portico.

There is not much more to say beyond the narrative. The house is larger than most and although it was built in the earlier half of the Victorian age, it is not what one would consider classically Victorian, albeit, it is still a beautiful house.

For a more detailed and informed physical description of this site, I have added information from the original nomination form sent to me by John P. Byrne, National Register Database Manager (John_Byrne@nps.gov), Department of the Interior.. This narrative was created March 16, 1979, mailed in to Washington, D.C. and evaluated April 18, 1980 and finally approved on July 21, 1982. Thanks to this designation and the efforts of the community to stop developers in the early 70s, Haddonfield is permanently protected and is one of the best example of an intact Colonial America.

"Large handsome early Victorian home, built in 1860. Bracketed cornice, flat roof, narrow siding with paneled pilasters at the corners. Wing on west side has same details. Front portico in simple classic design. Entrance comprises two massive bolection molded doors with side lights. One of the best proportioned houses of early Victorian era in Haddonfield."--- National Register of Historic Places Inventory -- Haddonfield Historic District Nomination Form.
