Building was being restored (floor) on my visit, so all that was avalible was a walk around the structure. Not what one would think when Plantation house is mentioned, single story home, and not a large structure. Yet it was probabally built in the late 1700's so it was substantial for the times. The entire Melrose complex is avalible for daily tours(for a fee) but it is a great tour. The guide were very knowledgeable, one being an actual descendent of the original land owner. A realy educational place to visit and learn of local heritage.
