5 structures of the Melrose Plantation district are "The Big House", "The The African House", "The Yucca House", "The Ghana House" and "The Barn". The entire plantation, grounds and everything was just perfect a HIGHLY recommended stop. There was an admission fee, but there was a short video, 2 different guided tours and then one could walk and take in all the sites of the plantation grounds. The Tour guides were EXTREMELY knowledgeable one actually being a descendent of Louis Metoyer original 1795 land owner. There is alot of information on the plantation online. Really well worth a visit and tour if one ever finds themselves here.
