This is a beautiful Classical-Revival era home which contributes handsomely to the historic district. It lies on the outskirts of the eastern most part of Haddonfield. The front portico and rear faux balcony are notable features.

If you go to this WEBSITE, you will see where all the free parking in town is located as well as all the other historical areas. The nearest public parking is about 400 feet away and takes nickels, dimes and quarters. Check it out!

One last thing, here is the LINK to the Haddonfield Historical Society. Check that out as well!

The following narrative comes from the Haddonfield NRHP District nomination form, created March 16, 1979, evaluated April 18, 1980 and finally approved on July 21, 1982.

"Historic 2½ story twin dwellings, built by John Shivers in 1838, at about the same time he built three brick houses for General John Clement, next to the Indian King Tavern. Excellently restored by present owners from decaying property to one of the most handsome on Kings Highway. Original narrow wood siding, curved dormers in roof, 6 over 6 divided lights in original windows, both floors. Porticoed entrance in the classic style leading up several steps from pavement. Landscaped strip in front."
