The city of Karlovy Vary, also known as Carlsbad in English, is located in the western part of the Czech Republic. It was founded in the 14th century by Charles IV, King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor (

To the left of the Market Colonnade (

The Baroque column with the Holy Trinity sculpture was constructed as an expression of gratitude in 1713, as the town had been spared from a plague epidemic. The sculptor Oswald Josef Wenda, the stonemason Andreas Anton Ingrisch, and Elias Damm, who crafted the pedestal, all contributed to this monument. The corners of the monument are adorned with statues of St. Adalbert, St. Augustine, and St. Florian.
