This is one of many granite posts used to mark points on the boundary lines between towns in Massachusetts, in this case, the Town of Hamilton and the Town of Wenham. The letters "H" (for Hamilton) and "W" (for Wenham) are inscribed on opposite sides. The date (1905) is inscribed on a third side. It is approximately eight inches square and five feet high.
The marker is located up on an embankment on the west side of Arbor Street (Wenham)/Highland Street (Hamilton). The town line sign post is across the street.
