[No longer there!!!] David Addickes seems to be on a mission to populate the world - the Houston area in particular - with big sculpture. In 2006, he added this sculpture to an abandoned bank drive-in.

Other works in the area by David Addickes include the giant President heads being installed in Pearland; the huge statue of Sam Houston on I-45 in Huntsville; the equally huge statue of Stephen F. Austin on Highway 288 south of Angleton; the four towering Beatles behind his studio off Washington Avenue, slated to be installed along I-10 west of downtown; and the smaller Virtuoso in the Theater District.
