The Issaquah depot was built in 1889 when Issaquah was known as Gilman. In 1958, Burlington Northern closed the station which fell into disrepair. In 1984 the city of Issaquah purchased the station from Burlington Northern. Years later in 1990 the station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and in 1994 the Issaquah Historical Society opened the Depot as a museum.
