It was in that year that the town was given a brand new brick post office. Near the southern end of the town, the post office is surrounded by ample parking and an eclectic assortment of businesses.

I could be wrong, but it looks like the town didn't get new mailboxes, however. They appear to be older style boxes, much more ornate than contemporary boxes - the type usually found in post offices from the 1930s and earlier. There are about 2,000 in the post office, which serves a population of around 1,000 in the town. Either a lot of the boxes are unused or there is a pretty large rural population in the vicinity.

Given that there are something like 2,000 post office boxes one would expect that the number "666" would be among them. Sure enough, it's toward the rear on the left side, in the third bank of boxes from the rear, second from the top of the bottom group.
