In Walpole, on the town green, is this memorial for all Walpole residents who served in any war.
The town green is a set of three lots in the town's center and downtown area, and located by the intersection of Main Street and Common Street and Elm Street.
There are three lots to the town green, set in a boomerang arrangement. The monument is at the northern edge of the center piece, along West Street.
The monument is a plain boulder with a plaque in the center, facing West Street. The text on it states:
"Honoring those veterans
of Walpole
Who served their country in all wars"
On the plaque is the logo of the American Legion.
