VFW Post 3656 is located on the west side of Bristow. Adjacent to their building, they have on display numerous items of military equipment, as well as some specific memorials to servicemen. This memorial displays the M1, 81mm Mortar which the U.S. built and used in World War II, Korea and VietNam. It weighed about 300 lbs., fired 18 rounds per minute, and had an effective range of 3300 yards.
