Willy Millowitsch hat seine neue Heimat gefunden! Die Bronze-Statue des legendären Kölner Schauspielers ist am Freitagmorgen vom Eisenmarkt in der Altstadt auf den Willy-Millowitsch-Platz zwischen Gertrudenstraße, Apostelnstraße und Breite Straße umgezogen!
Per Gabelstapler und Jeep mit Anhänger wurde der 700 Kilogramm schwere Millowitsch abtransportiert. Unter den Augen von Pächter Adi Inden, Tochter Anja und Enkelin Ariana wurde dann die Statue mit vier Schrauben an ihrem neuen Standort befestigt und anschließend verhüllt.
Willi Millowitschs Umzug durch die Kölner Innenstadt
Gegen 13 Uhr soll das Denkmal des Kölner Ehrenbürgers feierlich enthüllt werden.
Die Interessengemeinschaft Altstadt unter ihrem Vorsitzenden Hans Flock übernimmt das Abmontieren am Eisenmarkt und den Wiederaufbau an der neuen Stelle kostenlos für die Stadt Köln.

Willy Millowitsch has found his new home! The bronze statue of the legendary Cologne actor has moved on Friday morning from the iron market in the old town to Willy-Millowitsch-Platz between Gertrudenstraße, Apostelnstraße and Breite Straße!
The 700 kilogram Millowitsch was transported away by forklift and jeep with trailer. Under the eyes of tenant Adi Inden, daughter Anja and granddaughter Ariana, the statue was then fastened to its new location with four screws and then concealed.

At about 1 pm, the memorial of the honorary citizen of Cologne is to be solemnly unveiled.
The Interessengemeinschaft Altstadt under its chairman Hans Flock takes over the dismantling at the iron market and the reconstruction at the new place free of charge for the city Cologne.
