"Mrs. Bert Rose Holsworth, 79, of Daniel Road; Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Friday, September 14, 2007 at Tanner Medical Center. Mrs. Holsworth was born February 24, 1928 in Cabell County, West Virginia; the daughter of the late Garnet E. Rose and the late Ethel Lawhon Rose. Mrs. Holsworth was a member of Word of Life Gospel Ministries. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, George Carl Jervis, Jr.; and two brothers, Billy Alton Rose, Sr. and Edward C. Rose.
"Survivors include her husband, Donald “Bud” Holsworth; son and daughter in-law, John and Val Runyon of Villa Rica; sisters, Ruth M. Wallace of Chesapeake, Ohio; and Myrt Jarrell of Old Town, Florida; brothers, Robert L. Rose of Ashland, Kentucky; and Denver J. Rose of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
"Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, September 17, 2007 at 2:00 PM from Word of Life Gospel Ministries, in Carrollton, Georgia with Pastor Keith Jiles officiating. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Sunday, September 16, 2007 from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in Villa Rica, Georgia." ~ Jones-Wynn Funeral Home

"John William Runyon, Jr., 59, of South VanWert Road, Villa Rica, died January 28, 2008, in Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton.
He was born in Huntington, West Virginia, Cabell County, on January 18, 1949, the son of te late John William Runyon, Sr. and the late Bert Rose Runyon. He moved from Melbourne, Florida to this area in 1982, and before his retirement, he owned and operated an Auto Chemical Company. He was a member of Life Ministries in Carrollton.
