Iron Monk Brewing Company brews their own beers on site, with tours available on Saturdays at 2 and 4. Food trucks are often on site (check the event section of the calendar), with outdoor music offered as well on Thursday and Saturday nights at 7. There are lots of tables set up outside the main entrance for guests to sit while they enjoy the food and music.
The pub has a large room for guests, with one TV in the front, one in the back room, and three above the bar. The board above the bar lists the beers with a little information about each one. The entire side wall of the front room is lined with what I presume is empty beer cans. The back room wall is all glass, giving guests a view into the room where the beer is made. There is also a game case with lots of selections to have fun with your friends.
Tours last about 45 minutes, and cost $15. They are very informative, with their entire process and equipment explained as well as allowing guests to smell the materials used in making beer and ask questions. Each tour purchase comes with a wooden token that can be used for a glass of beer or a flight of beer samples. On my visit I sampled the Velvet Antler, Exit 174 Rye Pale Ale, Payne County IPA, and Chocolate Habanero.
In addition to learning a lot about beer brewing and the equipment used (my favorite was the canning section), we also were informed that this building used to be a Safeway grocery, then an ATT store (you can see still an ATT sign on the building wall). Iron Monk opened in 2014, and I highly recommend reading the About Us section of the website to learn about the people who own the company as well as their employees.
Iron Monk is a dog-friendly facility, and you are welcome to bring your dogs. In fact, they encourage you to send them a photo of you and your dog there to be posted on their website.
