"Chantrerie Saint-Hilaire Xle-Xlle siècles
Sous cet immeuble contemporain est conservée une vaste salle voûtée des Xle et Xlle siècles, où résidait le chantre de Saint-Hilaire. le troisième dignitaire du chapitre. Une cave creusée à même la roche servait de cellier aux chanoines.
La salle possède neuf voûtes d'arêtes qui reposent sur quatre colonnes monolithes ornées de chapiteaux. Leurs corbeilles sont décorées de feuilles d'eau et de volutes d'angle. en tous points comparables à celles des églises romanes de la ville. Des baies en plein cintre amènent un peu de lumière dans la pièce. "

Under this contemporary building is preserved a vast vaulted room of the Xle and Xlle centuries, where the resident of Saint-Hilaire resided. the third dignitary of the chapter. A cellar dug into the rock served as cellar for the canons.
The hall has nine arches of ridges resting on four monolithic columns adorned with capitals. Their baskets are decorated with leaves of water and volutes of angle. in all points comparable to those of the Romanesque churches of the city. Semicircular windows bring a little light into the room. "
