The Tour du Midi is the largest tower in Belgium. It is 150 m high and is located opposite the Gare du Midi.

The former owner, the Caisse Nationale des Pensions pour Employé, began construction of the tower in 1961 and completed it in 1967. The Tower currently belongs to the Federal Pension Service, hence its nickname "Pension Tower".

Since then, the building has been renovated, the glass facades replaced and the interior has been adapted to current standards: asbestos removal, upgrading of the electrical network. The reception and visitor area have also been updated.
