The Yale State Bank building is located on the southwest corner of Broadway and Main. It housed the Yale State Bank when it was constructed in 1915, during the boom days of Yale's oil discovery. Oil was discovered in 1913, and the town grew exponentially during the next few years. Unfortunately, the building has deteriorated and currently stands vacant and not in use.
This is a two-story red brick building with a canted corner entrance flanked by large fixed display windows. Brick pilasters extend above the flat roof line at each corner, and between the bays. There are five bays along the north side, each with a storefront. The first floor windows all have stone sills and lintels, with glass block clerestories some of which have been covered. The second level windows are double hung and also have stone sills and lintels. A white stone belt course runs between the first and second floors. On the upper wall, recessed and projected brickwork adds embellishment.
