"1911 enthüllte Kaiser Wilhelm II. das Reiterstandbild Kaiser Friedrichs III. in Aachen.
Erschaffen wurde das Denkmal von dem Bildhauer Hugo Lederer. Einst wurde es von mehreren Löwen umsäumt, von denen einer noch auf dem Kaiserplatz zu sehen ist. Die rund viereinhalb Meter hohe Statue wacht bis heute über dem Kaiserplatz in Aachen."

"In 1911 Kaiser Wilhelm II unveiled the equestrian statue of Kaiser Friedrich III in Aachen.
The monument was created by the sculptor Hugo Lederer. Once it was surrounded by several lions, one of which can still be seen on Kaiserplatz. The statue, about four and a half metres high, still watches over Kaiserplatz in Aachen today".
