Vous montez ou vous descendez ? Pour mieux vous en rendre compte, je vous conseille d'entrer sur cette petite route en impasse, de faire demi-tour quand vous le pouvez, puis de revenir vers l'entrée. A 100m environ du début de la route, arrêtez votre véhicule et relâchez le frein. Surpris ?

La route magique est une " Magnetic Hill ". La disposition géologique est ici particulière et elle produit un effet d'optique assez curieux. Le facteur le plus important qui contribue à créer l'illusion semble être l'obstruction de l'horizon. Sans horizon, la surface n'est plus une référence fiable pour l'oeil.

The magic road is a " Magnetic Hill ". The geological disposal is special here and it produces an optical effect rather curious. The most important factor that helps create the illusion seems to be obstruction of the horizon. Without horizon, the surface is no longer a reliable reference for the eye.
