"L’emblématique Estaminet, café-restaurant à la décoration inchangée depuis des décennies, célèbre pour sa mythique dédicace de Mick Jagger, chanteur des Rolling Stones, a changé de propriétaires. Géraldine et Frédéric Dupuis (alias Jules) sont tombés sous le charme de cet ancien bistrot qu’ils ont voulu conserver dans son « jus ». Quelques acquisitions en matériel de cuisine, un peu de nettoyage, quelques coups de peinture rouge pour rendre l’endroit plus pimpant et les voilà prêts à prendre le départ.
Aux fourneaux, Frédéric Dupuis, attiré depuis l’enfance par les bonnes odeurs de la cuisine familiale, a enfin réalisé son rêve. Cet ancien journaliste s’est formé auprès de traiteurs et de chefs étoilés de la région. Son épouse sert au bar et en salle.
Dès novembre, les consommateurs matinaux pourront venir, à partir de 7 h 45, déguster un petit-déjeuner, traditionnel ou salé. On peut manger à toute heure, jusqu’à épuisement des plats. Ouvert le lundi, et du mercredi au dimanche midi, L’Estaminet propose un menu différent chaque jour. De l’entrée au dessert, tout est fait maison. D’ici quelque temps, la carte proposera quatre choix dans chaque catégorie. Si la base de la cuisine est tourangelle, le chef y invite d’autres régions et leurs vignerons. Une soirée Alsace est en cours d’organisation. Le 17 novembre, la soirée tête de veau se déroulera sous barnum. Le « menu des copains » fera son apparition sur la carte dès novembre : un plat unique et une animation. Vers le mois de mars, le couple Dupuis prévoit d’aménager le premier étage en salon de thé cosy. Il veut créer une atmosphère « comme à la maison », avec feu de cheminée et ambiance amicale."

Beginning in November, morning consumers will be able to enjoy a traditional or salty breakfast from 07:45 am. You can eat at any time, until all the dishes are gone. Open Monday, and Wednesday to Sunday lunch, L'Estaminet offers a different menu every day. From starter to dessert, everything is homemade. In a short time, the card will offer four choices in each category. If the base of the cuisine is Touraine, the chef invites other regions and their winemakers. An Alsace evening is being organized.
