The city of Abilene's website says this spur is listed in the Guinness Book of World’s Records as the world's largest spur. I checked the Guinness Book's website and it seems there is now a larger one but this one is still big. It has been in Abilene since 2002 and was created by Larry Houston. It is now in front of a western wear clothing store.
