The Claquato Church is the oldest remaining Protestant church in the Pacific Northwest that is still standing on its original location and in its original structural form.

The church was built in 1858 and was the third church erected north of the Columbia River. In age it is more than half as old as our nation, dating from 1776. It is a small building (20 ft by 30 ft) and is surmounted by a belfry consisting of a louvered quare, upon which is superimposed a louvered octagon of lesser dimensions upon which in turn is mounted a symbolic crown of thorns. The church is listed on the National Register of Historical Places.
