ERNESTINE TAHEDL

Née en Autriche, Ernestine Tahedl étudie à l’Académie des Arts Appliqués de Vienne, recevant un diplôme de maîtrise en arts graphiques en 1961. En Autriche tout comme au Canada où elle immigre en 1963, Tahedl est acclamée pour son travail. Ses prix et distinctions incluent la Médaille des arts connexes de l’Institut royal d’architecture du Canada, une médaille du Gouverneur général pour le 125e anniversaire du Canada, et une rétrospective de la Varley Art Gallery de Markham (Ontario).

ERNESTINE TAHEDL

Ernestine Tahedl was born in Austria, and studied at the Vienna Academy of Applied Arts, receiving a master’s degree in graphic art in 1961. In Austria, as well as in Canada where she emigrated in 1963, Tahedl has won general acclaim for her work. Her awards and honours have included the Allied Arts Medal of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, a Governor General’s Canada 125th Anniversary Medal, and a retrospective from the Varley Art Gallery of Markham (Markham, Ontario).
