This is a railroad depot located on Highway 41 entering Ringgold.

This is the only depot between Atlanta and Chattanooga that has been in continuous use since May 1850. Ringgold was actually a larger market than Chattanooga in the 1850s. The depot was damaged during the Civil War by Hooker’s guns during the battle at Ringgold Gap which is a short distance away.

No, the railroad is not using the depot anylonger. It is still an active place though as it seems to be a community center of sorts that is used for various purposes.
