This church is a small Lutheran Church serving a small community in northeastern South Dakota. As the name indicates, Summit is located on the top of the Coteau Des Prairies Hills.
The town was named because it was at the summit of the local hills area. The population as of 2010 was 288.
The church at one time had 8 stained glass windows but remodeling took several out to make way for a fellowship hall and kitchen area.
