"Située en Ardèche, on notera l'utilisation de couleurs vives. Son architecture est assez peu lisible. On est aidé par les petits frontons et les lignes verticales mais les corniches toujours soutenues par modillons ou corbeaux n'inspirent pas la modernité. À situer en début de période Art Déco. À noter : il s'agit actuellement d'un immeuble d'habitation."

"Des fourmis et des ruches
Aussi iconique qu’il soit devenu, l’Ecureuil n’a pourtant pas toujours été l’emblème de la Caisse d’Epargne. Ou plus précisément des Caisses d’Epargne, chaque enseigne régionale du réseau étant, il faut le rappeler, une banque de plein droit. « A l’origine, les Caisses d’Epargne avaient différents symboles », rappelle ainsi Cédric Mignon, le directeur du développement de l’enseigne. En fouillant dans ses archives bientôt bicentenaires - la Caisse d’Epargne fêtera ses 200 ans l’an prochain - on trouve ainsi la trace d’une ruche, dans les années 1920 et 1930, puis d’une fourmi, au début des années 1940. Des icônes symboliques de l’ADN ouvrier de l'enseigne et de son produit phare, le Livret A, premier placement bancaire destiné au très grand public."
