The tiny hamlet of Cleish lies around three miles to the south of the town of Kinross in the northern shadow of the Cleish Hills. It contains a few a few old houses scattered around the parish church, along with a red telephone box on the south side of the road to the east of the church.
The box, like many others in the UK, became redundant and was taken over by the local community in BT's 'Adopt a Kiosk' scheme. It is now used as a free book exchange library, and houses a defibrillator unit.
