In Gloucester, within Stage Fort Park, is this plaque in memory of the soldiers and sailors during the Revolutionary War.

Stage Fort Park is located along the ocean and is just west of the Blynman draw bridge. There is an entrance fee when you drive in. However, you can park along the road and walk in - there is a time limit on the length of time you can park there.

Once in the park, head for a picnic area where there is an outcrop of rock near the shore. There are two plaques at the same location. This one is the higher of the two.

The plaque states the following text:

"In memory of
THE SOLDIERS and SAILORS
and all others who
Rendered aid to the cause
of American Independence
During the Revolutionary War
[SAR Logo]
Erected by
Lucy Knox Chapter
Daughter of the American Revolution
of Gloucester
Jun 17, 1913"
Type of Memorial: Plaque
