From memory, of when I first started at the Manning Base Hospital (as it was called in 1997), this Time Capsule was placed in a small landscaped garden outside of the 'Victoria Fever Ward', that we used as the Day Only Operating Theatre. This may have been removed, and placed at the front of the 'new' block that the Operating Theatres moved into in Easter 2000, but I feel it must have been after 2005.
The engraved brass plaque is embedded in an angled concrete block, but it must have had a different orientation, as the plaque appears to be upside-down. It has a heavy/dark brown/green patina, and reads:
TIME CAPSULE
PLACED
OCTOBER 1977
There is 'obviously' no mention of a date to be opened, so if I'm still around and working at the Manning Rural Referral Hospital (named such since 2007) I will have to try and remember that this is here, and ask the appropriate adminstrator if there is be any action on it, in 2027!

* BTW, the hospital would have been called the Manning River District Hospital (I think) back in 1977.]
