Atop the cemented stone wall of the Yankalilla War Memorial is a square bronze plaque for the Time Capsule, which reads:
CENTENARY OF FEDERATION
TIME CAPSULE
TO BE OPENED 23rd SEPTEMBER 2051
While it may have been possible that a person was still alive when this placed, who would have been very young when the six States became the Federation of Australia in 1901, they most certainly WON'T be around for the unsealing of this Time Capsule in 2051.
