The
Chamber of Commerce building is on the southern edge of the city, surrounded by a small park with a children's playground. The Chamber stands on the south side of 50th Avenue, which is Highway 12, the major street leading into the city from Highway 2, which is the major highway running between Calgary and Edmonton.
A standalone building, it seems almost out in the country, surrounded by trees on three sided and the road on the fourth side. A fairly new building, it contains all the local and regional information one expects to find in an Alberta visitor centre, as well as public washrooms. It is open from May through September, but in the off season the centre is manned by only one knowledgeable staffer.
