The headstone for
Pauline Moser has no dates on it, but the contributor to FindAGrave found the birth and death dates. Pauline was born in 1850, eleven years before the U. S. Civil War began. Her grave marker has sunk deeper and deeper into the ground. Fortunately, the cemetery records (at the office) have detailed information on how to find each grave. I had to use my trusty pocket knife to dig away some of the sod on the left side of the marker to get the photo. Pauline died in 1951, at the age of 100 or 101. This was the year that the first Russian and the first U. S. astronauts were sent into space.
