PERREAU (Antoine François Charles Théodore), geb. 22 Mei 1807 te Maastricht, overl. 7 Dec. 1868 te Tongeren, geschied-, oudheid- en muntkundige.

Den 26en Jan. 1804 huwden te Maastricht Jean François Perreau, onder-luitenant-kwartiermeester der gendarmerie, geb. te Patay, in Frankrijk, en Maria Elisabeth Adriana Lenarts, geb. te Maastricht. Uit dit huwelijk werden aldaar 2 zonen geboren: Louis, als klerk vertrokken van Maastricht naar Tongeren in Dec. 1830 in verband met den belgischen opstand, later burgemeester van Tongeren, en Antoine, die 4 Oct. 1837 te Bunde trouwde met jkvr. Maria Clara Elisabeth Josephina de Lenarts d'Ingenop, hem verwant, geb. te Ingenop onder Bunde. Antoine studeerde aan het athenaeum zijner geboorteplaats, verwierf het diploma van candidaat-notaris en werd in 1838 aangesteld tot agent der Belgische Staatsbank te Valkenburg (L.). Toen Limburg in 1839 weer gedeeltelijk bij Nederland kwam, werd het belgisch bankagentschap, dat Perreau tot zijn dood heeft waargenomen, naar Tongeren overgebracht.

Den 26en Jan. 1804 married in Maastricht Jean François Perreau, lieutenant-quartermaster of the gendarmerie, b. in Patay, in France, and Maria Elisabeth Adriana Lenarts, b. in Maastricht. From this marriage there were born 2 sons: Louis, as clerk left from Maastricht to Tongeren in Dec. 1830 in connection with the Belgian uprising, later mayor of Tongeren, and Antoine, who 4 Oct. 1837 at Bunde married to Maria Maria Maria Elisabeth Josephina de Lenarts d'Ingenop, related to him, b. to Ingenop under Bunde. Antoine studied at the Athenaeum of his birthplace, obtained the diploma of a junior notary and was appointed agent of the Belgian State Bank in Valkenburg (L.) in 1838. When Limburg returned to the Netherlands in 1839, the Belgian bank agency, which Perreau had observed until his death, was transferred to Tongeren.
