In Newbury, along High Road, is the Parish Burying Ground, which has a grave for the Eatons that includes Mabel Knight (Eaton), who lived 100 years.

The cemetery is on the east side of High Road, across the street from the First Parish of Newbury. The grave is toward the back of the cemetery.

The grave marker is a vertical monument about three feet high. On one side is the following text:

"James Eaton
July 2, 1876
Aug. 18, 1969
His Wife
Mabel Knight
July 17, 1880
April 6, 1981"

April 12 – The Space Shuttle program: Space Shuttle Columbia with NASA astronauts John Young and Robert Crippen launches on the STS-1 mission, returning to Earth on April 14. It is the first time a manned reusable spacecraft has returned from orbit.
