Between 4th and 5th Streets NW in downtown Winter Haven in the center of Central Park is a Book Exchange Box. Not only is this a convenient location for exchanges but it is a lovely spot to sit and read since there a numerous benches nearby.
We found this one by accident while waiting for the dedication and unveiling of an historical marker on 4th Street next to the park for the First Publix Store 1930. We also noted that while dining at the Tempo 1930 restaurant (great food) another couple who also dined there discovered the book exchange box by accident while strolling through the park. They had a book they had just finished reading and made a special trip to their car to get it and donate it. How sweet.
The public library is located across the street from the park and fine dining is nearby. Great location for a book exchange box.
