Ada was married to Arthur Dawson, who pre-deceased her by some 28 years. Having been born in 1890 she would have seen or known of many major events, including 'the Great War', World War Two, the Korean and the Vietnamese Wars.

In the year that she was born, Alfred Nobel - inventor of dynamite and subsequent benfactor of the Peace Prizes, died in January 1890. That same year Banjo Paterson's 'The Man from Snowy River' was published. [Incidentally, Banjo was raised in Emmaville Cottage, but that was at Orange! ex-Emmaville Cottage]

The white marble tablet at the head of the twin, concrete slab-covered graves reads:

In Loving Memory of
my dear Husband & our Father
ARTHUR DAWSON
passed away 10th June 1964
Aged 74 years
and our dear Mother
ADA DAWSON
passed away 25th Nov. 1992
Aged 102 years.
" At Rest. "
