It seems that there was a shorter Wesleyan Chapel here (from 1855), being the second oldest Methodist chapel in SA! [The photo from the opening of the 1855 Wesleyan church shows THREE Gothic-arched windows on the northern side; while NOW there are SIX!] This is a cemented stone, semi-Gothic styled church, that had the extension to almost double the length made in 1902. More recently a covered entry was placed at the western end. On the northwestern side of the church is a white marble tablet as a 'Foundation Stone', which reads:
This Stone Was Laid
To The Glory of God;
By
Mr. E. Teakle,
on July 24th 1902.
Worship Time: Sundays - 10:30am
A photo of this church from the window of one of the older houses in Old Noarlunga shows the Church as at 1855, and it looks in much the same condition as it stands today, except for being shorter, and minus the covered entry.
