Climb the 75' tall fire tower and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The public recreation area at the base of the fire tower connects to the Six Nations Trail System with 35 miles of scenic trails. This was a Civilian Conservation Corps project from 1941 and is now included in the Points of Inspiration Trail Project.
The fire tower observation deck is closed, but the stairs up to the top landing are open for climbing at your own risk. It is currently one of the last fire towers in New York State readily accessible to the public and affords a 15-mile view from the top of the stairs.
Points of Inspiration is an initiative to provide experiences and activities designed to introduce the Southern Finger Lakes region to visitors as well as to educate its local residents about all the area has to offer.
