He was born on November 12, 1840 in Noble County, IN and died on June 4, 1918 in Pasadena, CA. His Medal of Honor information and citation is: FALL, CHARLES S.
• Rank and organization: Sergeant, Company E, 26th Michigan Infantry
• Place and date: At Spotsylvania Courthouse, Va., 12 May 1864
• Entered service at: Hamburg, Mich.
• Date of issue: 13 May 1899
Citation: Was one of the first to mount the Confederate works, where he bayoneted two of the enemy and captured a Confederate flag, but threw it away to continue the pursuit of the enemy.
