There is a nice little country church here, dating to 1854, about four-and-a-half miles from Licking. A notable burial here is that of Miyoshi Umeki, the first Asian actress to win an Academy Award, for Sayonara, and best known to many of us for her last role, as Mrs. Livingston on The Courtship of Eddie's Father. She and her second husband, Randall Hood, are buried together in the northeast quadrant of the cemetery, within view of the road that travels through.
