This new trail system follows the Carp River. The English and French-language interpretive sign describes the Blanding's Turtles and their habitat. In Ontario, these turtles are a threatened species.

The sign is on the east side of a trail maintained by the city of Ottawa and the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority. This green space is now officially known as the Carp River Wetland Environmental Area.

Campeau Drive will cut across this wetland. This sign is about 300 metres north of the extension of Campeau Drive.

There is a more distant trail head at the corner of the Richardson Side Road and Terry Fox Drive.
