To see the Hanging Barn, the site of the last public hanging, you must tour the Old Cooper County Jail. They charge $5 well worth it.

"Included in the tour is the Cooper County Hanging Barn, where men were put to death by hanging. The last public hanging in Missouri took place in this barn in 1930." (visit link)
